First bad boy of silicon valley | Psychology behind user retention | Bitcoin via Emoji | Sun Tzu on Product Design | Fundstrapping

Story

Co-Founder and CEO of Instagram share what it's really like working with Mark Zuckerberg.

Had Twitter bought Instagram, everything would look different. It was a huge risk as Facebook was nearing its IPO. But Zuckerberg saw what Jack Dorsey didn’t: He had to own this asset at any cost.

Psychological triggers to truly touch the minds, hearts and souls of your users

To truly understand the psychology behind consumer behaviours, emotions and tendencies — you need to genuinely connect and interact on multiple levels, with a view to forming rock-solid bonds.

Productivity

You have a fixed mindset. You don’t have faith. You haven’t tested the process. When you look in the mirror, you don’t like the person you see.

Faith can only exist if you actually believe you can get what you want. If you don’t believe you can get a better job or be a better person, then you can’t have the faith to create that goal. You may set that goal, but you will never achieve it.

Resource

Fundstrapping, neither fully fundraising or bootstrapping

A pragmatic approach to spending cash deliberately and cautiously like a bootstrapper but take funding to build a great product and company for their customers.

Design

It's not an interface but a warfare - Sun Tzu’s Lessons on Product Design

Users are the enemy. Their numbers are seemingly without end. Without fail and without relent they will come at you, poking holes in your design, finding its fatal flaws and breaking your product in ways that you cannot even fathom. To combat these endless attacks, us designers need to build iron-clad, bulletproof products.

Entrepreneurs are looking at their sinking ship without acting. When to unleash the beast

Every budding or blooming Entrepreneur is looking to find a hack to grow. With hindsight, it's not always likely to look for next thing (if previous efforts didn't work out), it's better to take a step back.

Growth

Empathy | Jealousy | Embarrassment | Shame - The facets of emotional marketing

We find emotional benefits more persuasive, and we rely more heavily on peripheral information (e.g., visual aesthetics), rather than substantive information

Culture

The first bad-boy of Silicon Valley

Misbehavior doesn't flourish in a vacuum; it's usually a product of family dynamics. And more than any other individual, William Shockley was the founding father of the misdeeds of the Silicon Valley.

Product

What the hell is Bitcoin and how do I make money with it?

You don’t need to be a mathematician or a cryptographer to understand Crypto - Explained with Emoji

The three most important questions of true human fulfilment | Love the journey | Humility & Relearn | The science of achievement

There are means goals and there are end goals. People tend to chase means goals not realising these are very different to the end goals. There is always going to be better things to create and achieve but it cannot be better than what it is right now. What got you here won't get you there - reach the place of acceptance.
Success without fulfilment is ultimate failure. If you got something after you failed - you dint fail, you learned. But when you succeed and you are not happy you are technically screwed. So the decisions we make control us much more than the conditions we need.
